Abstract
This qualitative-exploratory research investigated the potential role of an ESL website (web 2.0) as a way to compliment writing activities for first year students of the English Teaching Programme, UNACH. It assessed two activities in which twelve students were divided into two groups, accomplishing a common task through different means. One group completed the activity on an online platform and the other completed it on paper.
